Are MadMax Minimag sandwiches available as preassembled drop in parts or is there some assembly required?

Thanks,
Matt

an someone tell me more about this MadMax Minimag sandwiches? Is it like a 3W drop-in thing? How bright is it? It seems quite expensive....

The madmax w/o is VERY bright for a luxIII. It's similar to the 3W drop in, but a minor disassembly of the minimag is required. (I can do these in 2 minutes)

The sandwiches that Wayne sells are VERY bright. Of course, how bright depends on the bias of the converter that you order.

The MadMax used to be my favorite converter, until the NexGen came out. The NexGen is a constant current converter and gives you a flat output.

Make no mistake, these are worth the price. The only problems you'll have is making sure that no one steels it. I give modified mini mags with sandwiches as gifts on a regular basis. I get many orders for replacements when they disappear. Once they get used to using one, they can't live without it.
