Just wanted to share my latest mod.
I like the 2C mag size alot, and wanted a nice Li-Ion multi level light.
So after messing around alittle, I decided I wanted to use 2 Pila 168s cells, or soem of AWs cells.
With a TWOJ and Nflex.
In alot of ways, it would have been easier/better to just cut a 3C mage down to size, but eh,
sometimes you just have to do it the .... fun way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
I tooke a stock cap, cut the end off, turned the diameter down alittle,
and made a large tail that would press fit onto the modded stock tailcap.
With the help of alittle epoxy to ensure water resistance.
The stock spring was cut down much smaller and press fit in the tailcap.
I made the new tail alittle larger diameter than the mag body, so it would have more grip.
I may drill a lanyard hole in it later, but for now I just have one tired around the body, and it stays on nice,
since it cant slip over the tail.
The light is going caving tomorow, which was the main use I had in mind for it.
So I will know soon how she does her job. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
