The kino bay from peak led solutions seems to be available now. Does anyone know much about this torch what the beam is like and lumen output etc. It seems to be getting up to the kind of torch that the much anticipated lri proton will be apart from the fact that its not as flexible with brightness and red colour. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

According the specs on Peak's site, the 1W Kino Bay has 450 candlepower. The older 1W Atlantic (CR123A) is rated at 740 to 760 cp, while the forthcoming 1W Glacier Bay (CR123A) is rated at 650.

At 1050 and 1250 candepower, the 1.5W Caribbean (CR123A) and Mediterranean (CR123A) look more tempting.

On Flashlight Reviews, the Atlantic rated virtually the same brightness and overall light as the Nuwai Q-III. Quite an achievement for a 1W light. If Peak's 1AA Kino Bay will produce 70% the brightness and light of a Q-III, that's no small feat.
