I've observed on several turquoise lights, the color isn't always the same. Mostly, when the battery runs down, they look much more green. Why??

I don't know for sure but I can guess -

Turquoise is a little more towards the blue end of the spectrum, which means shorter wavelength = higher frequency = higher energy than green.

If the battery runs low, then lower energy = more "relaxed" electrons = lower frequency = greener (longer wavelength) light.

This is a perfectly normal characteristic of blue-green LEDs, and is nothing whatsoever to be concerned about.
Many blue LEDs (especially older ones) will shift their tint toward green as the current is decreased too. This is a normal phenomenon as well.

I think PhotonWrangler's post directly above this one answers the "why" pretty well.

Probably correct. I noticed that a white led when fed 6 volts got very very blue.

By the way, my keyboard went spastic and I may have sent this to the admins to review. Not on purpose. This old notebook seems to be dying.........
