it will surely damage the 26 K and other LED's ....
There is a Long post by Chimo .... about 26K vs Nichia ... at over drive of about 60 mA ... 26 K got killed in less that 50 hours...
with QIII you can always run SxxK Binned Luxeon...
because, the LED becomes in DD Mode through the Inductor inside the QIII's circuit. Chances are more that Inductor will get burnt. rather than LED ... thinking of this actually made me think of DD with a Good Heat sink /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
in DD with the Circuit in picture... the Current is limited by Resistance of Inductor + Resistance of QIII's Spring.
