This little friend has been on my car key since I got it.
Loaded with a lithium battery, it gets me to the house after work every night.
Peter, if you are out there some where, thanks again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

My question? When do we see an Arc-AAA with the AA style tail end?

I doubt that you will. It was discussed many times after the AA came out. PG's opinion was that because of the smaller size, by the time you did the cutouts, the strength of the remaining metal was compromised and wouldn't have the durablity that ARC is known for.

I have no clue if there are any other possible designs being considered as an alternative. Personally, I don't see the need for a change. While there are occasional times that tailstand would be useful, it's not worth the tradeoff of how perfectly the lug end works for EDC.

AA by Christmas, something to look forward to for sure. I am happy to have and use several of the first run of AA. Very good performers.
