Possibly a Martian.
I saw him leave in a light color lime green Delorean with a lime green painted Licence plate # ******

Is the light direct drive or regulated??

Direct drive, with a resistor in there.
It pulls about 600 milliamps from 3 Duracell Ultra (included) cr123's.
It should be ok with a pair of 17500, or Pila 150s sized rechargeable lithium ions too without a regulator to kill them.

This light will dim when the batteries are ready to call it quits, and be put back on the charger.
This light has a very dark military green finish.

How warm does this get?

Doesnt get very warm.
Somewhat underdriven at 600-700ma.
Made to last.
The tail twisty has a positive momentary button too for when it is backed out a little.
