According to a report just on the news, Birmingham, England is being evacuated due to a terrorist threat.

I hope that this is just an overactive caution rather than something real.

God Bless England and the people of Birmingham.

I just tuned in the BBC on XM radio to see if they had any local coverage...

They are running some kind of a radio drama... A PLAY, not news.

No, there is a real problem in Birmingham,,, maybe not as bad as originally reported... I was just trying to get news from the BBC on XM, and they are running a play INSTEAD of news.

Latest reports are that Birmingham police are detonating some "suspicious packages"

Around 200 pubs/bars/clubs are being evacuated after a terrorist threat was received. Reports of CONTROLLED explosions being carried out by bomb disposal teams.

Police have confirmed the controlled explosion of a suspect package on a bus in birmingham city center.

Police now saying package destroyed was "not a threat" although people still being evacuated from chinatown area of city ???
