How to desgin a reflector?

Hi - I am not sure of the designation you have called out in your post, but the easiest way to make real progress in reflectors is to buy some and try them. They really are not that expensive, certainly you can buy 10 - 20 for much less than the cost of having a handful of custom builts ones made. (believe me, I know)
IMS, Carlco, Fraen, Lumileds, (many are sold at the Shoppe and Future). These already have gone through lots of engineering and trial and error development.

IMS is the best bang-for-the-buck.. the 20's the best beam of them. Not familar with the bulb you mention.. but carly has a lot of reflectors pre-engineered for incan bulbs..
the buy n try is a much cheaper route than build from scratch.. harry's an expert in that field.
