5mmLED -burned phosphor and off center emitter cup

I had a long-term LED on burn-in. Top has been chopped off and polished. This shot illustrates both the phosphor breakdown and the off-center placement of the leads/emitter chip cup in the epoxy. This helps explain why a perfect beam is hard to obtain with a 5mm LED because the emitter chip is not always centered in the epoxy lens.

This one was in a hallway nightlight that was slightly overpowered. It ran for a few months. I am not sure of the current.
