RIP,
Get a grip on yourself man!!! You need countless lights and empty pockets just like the rest of us. There is no need to even mention this taboo subject around here, shame! Now, get out your credit card and order some more lights quickly!!! Doug /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ATTENTION

Please disregard that post. Apparently my account has been hacked by some kind of sick demented freak.

Nice choices, RIP. Only addition might be an Eternalight. The adjustable output is nice for power outages, use as a night light in hotels/motels or longer term emergency situations (months of output at the lowest level).

I only "need" 3 as well. However, what I need, want, and have are completely different things. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I only need ONE...

I just havent seen it yet so I keep trying.

What I want is about the size if the 1-AA Dorcy. Runs on either (Users choice) of 123A or AA (Lower output) and gives 5 levels of output from OH MY G-- to where is it.

Must stand of tail and have a removable diffusion globe to use as a lantern.

1 hour run time on high on 123A... 1 week on 1/2 arc AAA level and AA battery.

I just got the AA adaptor for my Q-III and waiting on the two stage switch. This looks like it mightbe close but still not there yet.

dtsoll is pretty funny guy, lol!

RIP, you know, you are completely forgetting several classes of lights that you don't have anything to show for. What about your superlights? How are you going knock someones socks off if you don't have a Mag85 or something similar? I don't see any super bright cr2 lights in there either. I agree with dtsoll, it's time to take out the credit card and start buying some lights. Your level of self control is making us feel very uncomfortable. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: I have come to a conclusion, I only NEED 3 lig

I only need three, too: A superlight, a headlamp, and a keychain light...

HOWEVER, I can't forget the lighting needs of those around me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif. And if I only have three lights to my name, I can't just be lending them out wantonly, especially to those who might not have an appreciation for the hi-tech tools that they are.

So, I have no choice but to stockpile lights according to every possible user and situation... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/broke.gif

Re: I have come to a conclusion, I only NEED 3 lig

I only need four lights:

AAA keychain
LRI Photon Proton (Jupiter and two red 3mm leds)
nFlex WX1S 8AA Mag
Peak AA UV

Since the Proton is vapor, make mine with HA-III /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif

you are not the only one with that decision :

for me these 3 light are enough for all situations :

* Surefire L4

* UKE 2L with eLEd

* Photon Freedom

Maybe as the 4rd flashlight my Peli M6 Xenon.

Re: I have come to a conclusion, I only NEED 3 lig

I only need one light! It's gotta be variable power from 0.1 lumens to 10,000 lumens, 4-week runtime on a rechargeable cell, charge-in-place with 3-minute fast charger, and be Surefire L4-sized.

Oh wait...

I can't quite get there from here, can I? In the meantime, hopefully the 30 lights will bring me a step closer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif

Imagine a light with the beam of the SL Propoly Lux, the runtime of the UK4AA eLED and the size of the Dorcy 1AAA. Then you'd only need 1 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif (well, maybe 2)

You forgot variable frequency output, indestructable, water proof to 10,000m below sea level, and plays MP3s.

Oh and a beam shaper and a UCL....
