I just stopped by sears to swap out a bad ratchet wrench given to me by my father and stopped by looking at their flashlights and noticed some interesting lights.
They have aluminum 2AA incan with clicky switch for about $9, maglight knockoffs of various sizes with battery indicators and I spotted what looks like a dorcy made sears light with a 2AA body and tailcap, and a larger version of the 1AAA head with 1LED and reflector/optic. It was about $13 I think. I wonder if this would be a decent host for a lux transplant.

I was thinking the optic was not useful but maybe if you yanked out the lens and it had a decent boost circuit it would be a nice host.
