What\'s up with Maglite

Heard Maglite was building a new factory about a year ago and the rumour was they were tooling up for LED lights....has anyone heard anything? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Mag's expansion. The LED stuff is only rumor AFAIK.

I don't like Maglites but I applaud his commitment to US workers and not outsourcing overseas...which seams to be a disturbing trend these days.

Don's said in emails that Mag plans to introduce LED lights sooner or later. Possibly other new technology. No reason to doubt it. At least one recent patent is for a twist-bezel 2x123 job.

An artical about Mag's forays into new tech had an interesting line by a company person. Something about everything has to pass Maglica's personal inspection. It at least made it sound like he was in the way of bringing ready products to market.
