Sorry, I'm not very savvy about this stuff. What I want need to do is allow people anywhere to view some unusual video I've made (no, not porn). How can I do this? I'm talking about 2 hours worth in it's direct captured state of DV, about 50 GB or so.
1) Do I need to pay a monthly fee to someone for hosting?
2) I have broadband. Can I buy my own server? If I do must I still pay for something else on a regualr basis (other than my monthly broadband bill of course)?
3) I realize 50GB is a lot so what format should the videos be in after I edit and convert them to keep the file sizes small and still have them be of decent quality? Divx? MPEG-4? I'd like the video to display bigger than the tiny QuickTime stuff I see on the Net and still be of good quality, sound included. Any video/DV experts out there?
4) Does anyone have any experience with using Google Video?
