Best 2D mag LED mod?

I was cleaning out the garadge and found a 2D mag with a broken bulb. What is the best LED mod to balance light output and battery life? Something as a drop in would be best. Also, something not too expensive. Any thoughts?

using 3 C (NiMH) cells, and a 3x3 setup with MOM PTS. LOTS of light and good runtime.

Diamond brand LED replacement bulbs. Perfect for what you are looking for. Cheap and easy drop-in.

When you say "best" do you mean brighter or longer run-time? It makes a big difference what is more important to you.

I'm looking for a good balance. Brighter than a bulb with a multiple hours of run-time.
