A thought about my SL 3CXP/Led flashlight.

I have tried it on decent quality NimH cells, and found it to be less bright in the xenon beam.

Wondering out loud here: Would a rechargable Lamp module running on the NimH be even brighter? And if the answer is yes, where can I get one?

May have my own answer.

I have an 8w lamp module for an SL20XP. It can somewhat be as bright as one of my WA bulbs. I guess I'll order one when I can and try it myself.

PJS, the 3CXP uses 3 C cells. The XP uses a Nicad stick. In short, the XP LA won't work well in your 3CXP.

You can do what I did for my SL TT 3C - get a Carley 1122 bulb, which runs great off 3 C Nimh cells. MUCH brighter than the stock bulb, with current draw of .9A vs 2.3A.

Only place I know is Carley. Either a group buy, or they sell direct to you with a min order of $50. Not an easy one.
