Sold/Expired Does a KL3 Head work with 10,8 Volt?

Hi,

i have a Surefire 9P with KL3 Head.
I`m planing to switch over to recharcheable Batteries, but they have 3,6 Volts.
Does The KL3 run with 10,8 Volt or would this damage the LED?

I think it can take max. 9V only as it's compatible with 3 (x3v) cell lights like the D3, Z3 & C3 only.
