Just picked up an SL Pro Poly 2AA incan for
about $8. Was $17.50 reduced to $10.75 and an
25% off sale brought it to about 8 bucks.

The beam does have artifacts and it's not as
well engineered as my 4AA LUX but it definately
out performs a stock 2AA MM, not to mention that
it's definately more waterproof.

This might make a good travel bag light.
Anyone know how long the Xenon bulbs for these lights
last? They've got to be more durable than the 2AA
MM's little bulbs, but I haven't seen any reviews for
this light so I don't know.

Thanks

Sorry, yes I did, I guess I wasn't clear on that. I was there to look for
something else and saw those on the shelf. I actually left the store thinking
that it was the 3N and not the 2AA. I went back and it WAS the 2AA.

Acc'd to the clerk in the store they never know what's
coming in, they just get whatever the catalog cannot/will not sell.
Then it's their job to get rid of it.

This means that I'm going to have to pay them a visit
at least once a week and see what finds it's way in there.

If I'm not mistaken there were a couple of 3C's but I'm
not sure if they were incan or lux. If anyone wants them
let me know (PM) and I'll check.

LL Bean is now selling Surefire lights, in catalog, online, and in the flagship store in Freeport. They don't carry the whole line, but they have some of the popular ones, (E2E, E2L, G2, etc). Who knows, maybe some of those will end up in the LL Bean Outlet stores at some point.

I wonder if I had anything to do with that - I was in the flagship store in June and told several guys in the flashlight department they should really look into SF.......
