Which light should I carry? Wedding day......

I'm not getting married any day soon, but in the next 18 months. I want to have a special light on me while I'm up there saying "I do". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Heck who knows maybe the ring boy will drop the ring(s) in a crack in the floor, and I'll get to use it!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It will have to be small, bright and very classy.

I got married last November. My wife and I each had a Photon. However the best man was carrying an Aleph 2. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif

The Silver ORB RAW sounds like it was made for just such an occasion.

Just a warning: your (future) wife will not be happy if the light costs more than the ring, or wedding for that matter. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

j/k... but on a more serious note I would go with a light that you really like. For me it would be a Surefire, Aleph, or the like of another custom. But don't expect that you wife will EDC hers to the wedding even if you give her a matching one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. 18 months will fly by real quick. Is it going to be a Black Tie affair?

How about a McLuxIII-PD in your basic black? Wish I had one of those.

Getting anything for your groomsmen? How about those new Fenix L1P's that 4sevens is having a GB on (also in black).

And (as in military weddings) you can have your groomsmen line up on either side with their lights on as you and your new bride walk under their beams (instead of drawn swords as in the military).

I was in a wedding last month (usher). I had my McLux PD clipped to the waistband of my tux. Matched /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh yeah!!! The McLuxIII-PD in black for sure!! I think I'd get married again if that would get me one!

I'm not sure about the wedding ceremony but I know you should take a UV light with you if you stay somewhere in the 'honeymoon' suite. Lots of foolin' around in those rooms and you want to know that your sheets, pillows, comfortor, and bathroom are free of 'stains'. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eeew.gif

WOW!!! Tanks for the replies guys. I know I'm planning early, but I want time to carry the perfect light. The orb is a good candidate. I guess a clip isnt neccesary, since my jacket on my tuxedo will have pockets. Oh yeah, I prefer it be an led.

I am definatley going to get my groomsmen flashlights, although none of them are flashaholics.

I might get them something decent like an EDC Basic42, or an E2e, or perhaps a custom.

I can't belive I didn't think of this yet! Where has my head been. I am getting married in 10 days and I haven't put any thought into which light to carry. I guess I'll have to turn in my CPF membership card.
