Help with Amazon Japan

Been trying to purchase a hot new camera through Amazon.com Japan. I figured out how to translate the pages and even create a user and place an order. The problem is that they won't ship to California. An ideas?

I found one on eBay that is coming direct from Japan, so I ordered it.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1

The first 16:9 CCD wide format digital camera has 8.4mp and it's an ultra compact with my favorite... a 28mm WIDE angle lens. (Actually my fave is a 24mm but they don't have that yet. It also has full manual control so my pictures will be totally accurate for comparing beamshots and lots more!
