I have strange problem with my CR123 3.2V protected batteries from JS. Burley. I got new batteries & charger from Jon. They charge just fine. The red light turns on when it charges the battery.

However, when I put in the old battery, the light shows green that battery is fully charged. I put it in my Gladius but it the light didn't turn on.
the battery looks ok with no physical damage or leakage of internal liquid stuff from battery. There is no burn marks on the battery which might indicate circuit short. The Gladius can hold 7.0 Volt
What the heck is wrong with my old CR123 3.2 v batteries??

I tried fresh primary lithium batteries and new rechargeable batteries. The light work fine. Could the batteries be dead? How the heck can they be dead so quick? Gladius LED is made of Aluminum. It does dissispate heat from batteries. My light does get warm when I used rechargeable for 20min. Could this heat have short circuit the batteries?? I have to get a volt meter to measure this current.
