Hi all, I asked this about the PM6 a day or two ago. Does anyone know if the TL-2 LED (and driver) is any easier to replace?

Also, has anyone done a runtime plot on the "new" version that is rated at 42 lumens?

Hey Stonedog, I asked a similar question recently, but nobody seemed interested in replacing the LED in my TL-2.

I would love to have a lux III in my TL-2, resistored to allow about 600 ma or so. I simply don't have the skill to do it myself.

Don't know about the mod, but got to fondle one at Cabelas yesterday. Very nice light! I don't care for the ergo's, but everything else looks quality. I wonder if the green color is HAIII?

OK, I found the TL-2 Gen 2 review at FLR. This looks like a very nice little light! Runtime was nice and flat but of course there was no mention of what the LED module looked like (much less whether it was moddable).

FWIW, Streamlight doesn't use HAIII (AFAIK). The black and O.D. green TL series are all type 2.
