Check this before you panic though-
The problem I see with the *do not call* list is charities and political organizations are mostly exempt which could mean they could unscrupulously get ahold of the list and use it as a *call* list. I have gotten about as many calls from charities and politicians as I do telemarketers so trading one for the other is not my kind of *deal*

Well, we should push our lawmakers to remove the exemptions for charities and political organizations. We must have gotten about twenty calls in the last few days for candidates in the local primary elections. I no more want to listen to them than I want to hear about getting my chimney cleaned.

My daughter was told about the No Call List at a staff meeting at the school district where she teaches.
Oh well.....at least it didn't cost anything to register.
