Upgrade from Streamlight Tasklight 2L Lux III

Hey guys, i've now - with your help - pretty much decided that my first flashlight will be a Streamlight Tasklight 2L Luxeon III. Now before i buy one, i was wondering what the next 'step up' from this light would be. meaning: not bigger than the tasklight, at least same battery life, also variable output - BUT: MORE THROW AND MORE OVERALL OUTPUT.

So if money wasn't so much an issue (which it is, just ask my wife... 'a flashlight?! go get it for 10 bucks at the department store' - what light would fit this description?

May be a modded SL Tasklight 2-L LuxIII?
Mine was modded by Klaus to a TWOJ LuxIII. (Had to change the resistance as well.) Runs pretty bright (and pretty hot as well!).
