Are these Terralux Tail Cap Switch's for sale anywhere yet? If so, has anyone tried them?

I went to a store called House of Knives yesterday and saw them selling the NiteIze package that included the Terralux tailcap switch.

I went ahead and bought it for 15 bucks Canadian, I went home and tried it, it looks nice but the plastic button is kinda loose and does not feel solid and durable at all, the threads are not really smooth when screwing it onto a MiniMag, I would give it 5/10.

After getting it I kinda appreciate the Kroll clickie more now

The NiteIze LED raplacement package has a RAM switch, not a TerraLux one. IIRC, the RAM switch is worse than the kroll (to the extent I've seen it called the POS switch :)).

I'd call the Kroll POS. Mine is at least. :( BugLightGeek has one and it works great for him.
My SL Jr Lx is fine though.
Still wondering about the verdict on the Terralux one...

The Terralux switch has come up in several prior threads. It might actually exist, but AFAIK nobody has seen one or knows where to buy one.

For now class it as vaporware. I'm sure someone will post if they find a source.

Luckily, so far, I have not had problems with the Kroll on my MM or the switch on my SL Jr.

The Terralux looks interesting due to its shorter form and lack of rubber boot.

shed some light on the issue. :)

Hi Dennis

By Oct 1 we should have them in most of our online resellers.

I ordered some of the Terralux switches online from brightguy.com. He doesn't stock them yet, but said he could get them. The switch looks like the same one that comes on the QUEST 2AA Mini Maglite clone. I'll take one apart when I get them.

Finally, a new possibility for a better kroll! Hooray! :)

The kroll switch TCS-1 from Terralux seems quite promising, but it also seems like Terralux is coming out with a bunch of very interesting ideas--not to mention the Miniminimag-look-alike(?), the Minimax.
