the new KL3 on 3 cells runtime?

Hey folks:

quick question, has anyone tested runtime of the gen 2 KL3 on a 3 cell body(C3, 9P, D3, etc)? I know it runs in regulation for 3.5 hours on 2 cells, just wondering how long it would last with an extra cell.

P.S., I'm digging the BK HA finish, now only if they would sell us a BK HA 6/9P or C2/3 body...

I am not sure it is safe on 3x123 ... I'd ask before using it this way ...

Hey Bernie:

THe head came with the instruction of the older KL3 head which said that it's for 2-3 cell configurations. The same is the case for the SF website.

I'm pretty sure it's safe since the KL3, like the Kl1, most likely uses a buck regulator since the Vf of the LED woul be less than the 6v from 2 cells, and the KL1 can be used for 3 cells as well.
