Well, I have a little trouble sleeping through thunder storms so I thought I'd try a few pictures. I actually took a video and grabbed the best frames on it.
Nature's "Flash Unit"
This one looked like it hit the tree but it actually hit the hill behind the houses on the next block about a half mile away judging by the thunder clap. (If it did hit the tree, I would be picking up broken glass right now.) :duck:
The frame right after
Just one of those rare California thunder storms. There would be a quick shower and some thunder and lightning then it would end for a few minuites and another would pop up. It should be sunny tomorrow according to the news.
Pictures were taken from my bedroom window facing south west. Camera use is a Kodak EasyShare CX7330 in video mode. Frame capture was done in Muvee Auto Produce 4.0
