Hi guys,
I know that a lot of you have an interest in my health and I have not really updated anything in a while so here it is.
My chances of survivng the cancer was 10%, it is now 25%. Hey I am moving in the right direction at least :) . I am still very weak most of the time and as you can imagine very sick much of the time as well.
The arthritis in my back has gotten worse but I am sure the pain is amplified because of everything else I am going through.
The kidney stones have not let up and that complicates things sometimes. Being sick because of chemo and then having a kidney stone attack is not fun :thumbsdow . Makes me feel like putting a gun to my head and pulling the trigger. Dont worry though I wont do that. I have 3 little boys who I am very proud of and a wonderful wife that all need me to stay around for a few more years.

I have been blessed in my life and God continues to bless me and my family. I am blessed that I am a member here and I am a better person for knowing all of you.

I really wanted to say thank you again to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and gifts. It has meant more to me than I could ever put into words. Thank you all and I hope and pray that God blesses you all.
Jeff

Sorry to hear about your health problem. Both my brother and mother died from cancer. We now know a lot more about treatment. Alternative medicine doctors use nutrition substances such as coenzyme Q10 , vitamin C, etc. to treat cancer.

Dr. Sinatra has developed a water-soluble CoQ10 that is the best. You take high doses to strengthen the body. He has a special report recently put out on what to do if you have cancer. Give them a call and they will sent it to you for a one year's subscription to his newsletter.

Also there is more information at the Life Extension Foundation which is the top non-profit medical research facility in the country.

You can find an alternative doctor for your area at:

Use your zipcode or state to find an alternative doctor for your area. Good luck!

Keep the chin up, bro. Your positive attitude is greater than any "disease".

Jeff, I use to depend on doctors. I ended up in a wheelchair for 9 years. I too thought about blowing my brains out. I took the alternative route after a few semesters of biology, some research and a doctor willing to give some nutral advice. Within three years of taking sports supplements(protein, creatine, glutamine and anabolic steroids), I got out of the wheelchair. Been that way since May, so far so good.

One thing I know for sure, we are all going to die, its just a matter when. I had an uncle who smoked, welded in confined areas without protection, but died from a bleeding ulcer. He was a white person, but had dark skin from welding all day. I thought for sure he would have a terrible case of skin cancer, he died at 44.

My mom lost the ability to walk and feed herself, docs tossed it to old age. Turns out the first verbrate slipped in her neck pinching her spinal cord. She had her head screwed to the second verbrate as half was removed from back of her head and the front half out her mouth. Shes doing fine even though shes in her 60s. Walking, feeding herself, etc. Going to have hte halo removed in 12 weeks.

My only quasi medical advice is to take a protein supplement for energy and building blocks for your system. They recommend a gram per body weight. I use to take 120 grams a day, now down to 40. I use metrx myself. Any is better than nothing.

The crap they have you taking is designed to kill the weaker mutant cells, this in the process kills the good cells and makes you feel horible. I think someone told me chemo is a watered down version of mustard gas. Hitler was gassed twice and kept on going before he was sent to jail from a failed kuo.

Not quite sure what to recommend for the stones. I know your urine is suppose to be clear, so if it aint, you need to start drinking....... fluids. :) Its suppose to be clear. To be honest, I thought kidney stones were solved with drinking lots of fluid and if you had them, an ultrasonic bath broke them down into small pieces you can pass.

LifeNRA,

It is times like these that the exact right words to say elude me.

But please know, from the bottom of my heart, that you are in prayers and I wish you all of the absolute best.

Regards,
John

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and advice.

I am taking a protien shake and vitamins daily to help out. The sickness and nausia is the worst part of it. We are making progress and that is good. I fully expect to get back to normal one day and I am doing my part to make it happen.

As far as the kidney stones, well I have been to 3 specialist in the last few years and so far no help. I drink plenty of fluids, mostly water, to help them stay flushed out. I have only had to have one busted up and one other removed because it was too far down the tube to bust up. All others have passed on their own, all 100+ of them over the years. Probably 50+ in the last couple of years. My left tube is so scared that even the smallest stone leaves me withering in pain.

The arthritis in my back has gotten very much worse in the last year. I have arthritis in my knees also, first diagnosed when I was 21, but usually if I can walk everyday it keeps it in check. The last specialist that I went to for my stones believes the arthritis and stones are related. There is a desease, I am sorry I have it written down somewhere but not in front of me, that takes calcium away from your bones and deposits it into your kidneys. There is no known cure.

Just remember in your prayers when you can and remember my family also. If it is meant for me to be healed then it will happen. If not then I will know that I gave it my best and did not give up. I believe everything happens for a reason and I do not fear what is ahead. I have nothing to fear from death. I only want to see my children grow up and be the best father and husband that I can.

Thanks again for everything this community has done for me and for the support you have shown me. You have given me hope when I was down and peace when I needed it.

And lets all try to be the best we can be. I have nothing much to offer this site in reality but I do care for all of you. I have prayed for many of you and supported you. I may have very strong feelings on some issues but I can assure you that they are deeply held beliefs based on what I think is in the best interest of my fellow man.

Thank you all again I will try to keep you all informed if anything changes. I usually read this forum everyday but some days I do not feel like posting.

Man, so much for the excess intake of calcium to blame on kidney stones. my brother was heavy into chocolate milk and he had them bad. He quit drinking milk and they went away. Hasnt had a problem since. A trip to a burger king with unlimited refills help to blow them out his system.

Do you think the protein shake is doing anything for you? Had you considered taking two of them or one and a protein bar?

Cobb,
I really do not know if the shake is doing any good or not. My Doctor says it will do me good so I go by what he says. I would not think that it could hurt to take it so I take it. I had not thought about doubling up on them or the bar to be honest. Doc said one a day would be enough.

I started with one, then worked up to 3 a day. Seemed to help the most for me when I started my program. Now that I have been walking, working full time and working out once a day, Ive managed to slack off to 1 shake a day. I dont mind drinking them, it just the fear of too much fluid in the system making you head to the bathroom a few times at the most inconvient moment.

Ive been drinking a few since Ive been sick, seems to help and the subject of another thread.

God, I pray for Jeff and his family. We know him to be a good man who deserves Your help and healing touch.

I pray that Jeff heals quickly. Please God, I pray that You relieve his pain and nausea. Please help him and his family to believe that he will be healed. Please protect him and his family from the suffering that comes from fear and worry.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Chuck
