Hi guys,

It have been a real eye opening experience to get a piece of your wisdom in the past days, for that I want to thank you all.
I have another question for you, I have three or four Mag3D flashlights, and even though I consider them fair lights I'm looking for a way to update them
I have seen several posts on bulbs and batteries, but would like to get something a little more specific for this model and in a way that can be understood by a beginner like me.

Thanks+Regards ---- Gracias y Saludos

Welcome to CPF!

In a 3D Mag there are some good bulb choices to work with.

Let's look at bulbs first...
Each bulb offers a tradeoff of brightness versus runtime.

WA 1185 - 800 t-lumens, runs about 25-30 minutes.
WA 1331 - 523 t-lumens, runs about 50-55 minutes.
WA 1306 - 234 t-lumens, runs for over 90 minutes.
t-lumens = Torch lumens. It is what is estimated to be the real output from the light.

All of these bulbs will run on 9 AA nimh rechargable batteries.

Because of the heat generated by these bulbs, some Mag parts need to be replaced.

Lens...UCL or Borofloat lens
reflector...aluminum lens
switch...Kiu bi-pin kit has been the best so far.

LED route-
remove switch, chop off bulb tower, run wires outta the switch. Grab O sink - mount Luxeon, preferably with a L foward voltage. Wire switch to luxeon, slam o sink into light, cut off the reflector cam and reassemble
