Paint is just setting up right now...but I snapped a few pics.

I have used this stuff on other things and it holds up well!

Its Duplicolor Truck Bed Coating (aka Bedliner Spray)
This is the Spray Can version and its available at Autozone and Wally world for $8 or less.

I masked off the thread area and masked just about where the cap would stop screwing down...

I also masked around the clip area as the clip moving or even just trying to remove it for painting it would ruin the paint on reinstallation

capriman86...VERY cool! Great idea...does that stuff come in clear or silver? Since it's designed for truck beds, I assume not. Nonetheless, very nicely done!

I know the real bedliner spray companies can do it colors...but as for a spray bomb, I have only seen it in black so far.

This is what I did to mine.

I moved the clip to the tail cap and added one of those pen grip things. Works great for me. Looks just like a pen in my pocket :)

I believe thats about 3 light coats...ya have to "mist" it on...not heavy.

The paint has hardened up nice...I'm pleased! :grin2:
