Cool white is bluish, warm white is yellowish, the "Cat Pee" green ones are widely dreaded, but what are these "Snow" colored LEDs that I keep hearing about???

Closest to white I have seen in small LED's. PEAK LED solutions uses them in their lights. They will not reveal the source but probably someone on CPF knows. Speak up if you do.

as nikola said, it is the closest to white. It is neither cool, nor warm, let alone cat pee green. It is the nicest color i have ever seen. As the name suggest, the color is very very close to snow color (before you pee on it, of course :p )
i heard they come from Cree white led.

Aha, it is a white with a high Color Rendition Index. I wonder what number CRI it would have...? It may not be warm or cool, but I bet it has still has a color temperature... I have some specialty incandescent lights that have CRI's somewhere up in the 90's.
