So... anyone have both of these lights? I have the 2C and have no real interest in the 2AA version but just so I can relay proper information, are they the same brightness or does the 2C just give the same output but with longer runtime?

Thanks.

Well, I wasn't really looking for such a light but the 2C just looked so nice in the package that I couldn't resist. Feels nice and weighty, like a much more expensive light. I made a 2xAA spacer out of the same PVC pipe that allows CR123A cells to fit in a 2C Mag so I essentially have the option of either running 2C or 2AA.

They're both said to have equal output and the 2C just has longer runtime.

My RR 2AA works well for me and uses rechargables--just used it last night for walking in an unlit neighborhood.

See this thread for more:

"Real World Field Test Report: Excepting runtime the two River Rock flashlights performed identically so I am going to refer to them both as "the River Rock flashlight" from here on out and any comments apply equally to them both."

The only difference between the Aurora 2AA and the Aurora 2C flashlights is the diameter of the flashlights (C cells are the same length as AA cells, but the diameter of C cells is bigger) and the battery life (C cells have a bigger capacity). The light output is exactly the same, it's clearly visible on this photo (left the 2AA and right the 2C). Lux readings are equal too.
