hi,
i'm currently writing my diploma about wikis. I try to run a wiki in a firm.
i see (at least) two major functions for wikis in this case:

1. a communication platform e.g. to coordinate projects
2. to create a dynamic knowledge database

currently i'm trying mediawiki, the same software that's used from wikipedia.

i like the possibilities of jotspot (e.g you can mail articles to the wiki, schedules...) but the main issue for me is easy use. so the major issue for me is a wysiwyg editor. i also want to attach files to the wikipages and have them searchable. jotspot has this possibility and a html preview of word, pdf and excel documents.

has someone any idea if i can realise these features with open source software. i don't have to use mediawiki. i can also change to twiki or any other wiki.

any personal experience are more than welcome (what you use wiki in business for, what kind of problems came up...)

you can reach me also via icq or email in my profile.

Thanks for any input,
Marc
