Hi guys, after hearing that the inova t4 only puts out 39 lumens i am deciding not to purchase it. I would like an led with multiple brightness settings and preferably is rechargeable, but i can do without a rechargeable. The price can be up to 160 dollars and the light has to be 60 lumens or more,

Thanks,
Kershaw

HDS Basic 60 is $150, four brightness levels, 60 lumens. Accepts rechargeable battery.

Surefire L2, about $165. puts out roughly 120 lumens in Flashlightreviews test, 2 levels, Don't know about rechargeables.

Vari-Brite 52L, about $70, 30 brightness levels, about 92 lumens in Flashlightreviews test. Don't know about rechargeables.

Oh by the way, being rechargeable is not a priority, long run times is substitutable for the light being rechargeable.

Is it true that the L2 hums on the low brightness setting?

While it is true that the SureFire L2 "hums" on the low setting, for me it isn't a big deal while to others they find it irritatingly annoying. It's hardly noticeable.—Now this particular light is fantastic. I have no regrets whatsoever with this buy.

You could try out McGizmo's McLuxIII-PD since it is two-stage setting. He can configure it for your particular use! I don't know how many lumens it is, but it definitely is plenty bright in the high setting and more than enough light output on low.

The other one you might want to check out is H22A's MiniMiniMiniMag with AW's 14270 rechargeables. Installed is the IMS 20mm reflector with UCL lens and the NG750 TW0J drop-in sandwich from the SandwicheShoppe. This little one puts out quite a light! It's only a single stage though. . .

Both of the McLuxIII-PD and the TripleMiniMag has excellent throw for it's diminutive size and decent spill while the SureFire L2 is more of a solid wall of light.

Hope you find what you're looking for and Enjoy!

Kershaw,

Another suggestion is to get a L4 which will give out a 'wall of light' and then get a McE2S internal from Shoppe later on. Then you will have a really practically light with 2 levels of output, and could be expandable for future SF lego playing. :naughty:
