Too much exposure to batteries, circuits and solder fumes must have given him immunity to the taser and pepper spray. Not a bad trade-off

Well, I heard that some people who are "high" enough or mad enough may be able to withstand being shot by a taser or sprayed with mace and still be able to fight back.

Cops in Clakamas, Oregon shot and killed a completely naked and unarmed man and they got away with it(murder)

The Taser electodes must have missed TorchMan. I don't know of a Taser not "hitting" the mark when both electrodes hit.
I imagine you "know" the feeling too.
