help building a light plz

I would like some help building a 2xAA light using a Vital Gear FB3. I think this is possible but I just don't seem to be able to find enough information on what other if any parts I'd need. If possible I'd like it to have low and high beam modes and a beam like the EL XM-3 ie a hot spot with lots of side spill. I'd also like the high beam to be brighter than the XM-3 and the low beam quite a bit dimmer. If possible I'd also like all the parts to be HA III coated as my XM-3 is looking pretty bad after a long hard year of getting beaten around. Thanks!!
