I'm calling ticketmaster for my wife. She wants tickets near her friends for some artsy thing.

The guy on the phone tells me
37.50 ticket
7.00 convenience fee
1.00 processing free
3.25 some other fee
2.50 email fee

An email fee? After all these other fees, they tacked this one on when asking how I wanted to receive the tickets.

Get this though. They'll mail them for free, or you can pick them up at the will call box for free, but email (which costs less than these other means) costs me $2.50?

Guy asks me if I want to participate in their "saver" plan. I tell him no thanks, that I'll never be using them again. Ever.

Now you see why there's just so much love for them from all sides - both concert/event attendees and promoters...

Same has happened to me when getting tickets for a concert a few months ago. Really sucks indeed. Sucks that they have totally cornered the market. If you want tickets in advance, you have to go through them for most everything...bah.
