There's a manufacturing defect with the inductors on the power board. You can fix it yourself, but it's better to do the recall. I found one of these things at the local dump. It took a lot of calls to India but in the end they sent me a newer refurb. Can't beat a free $350 flat-panel. Now if I could only get the right (12V 4A) power supply for it.
