If this is the original optic that came with the White Luxeon Star/O, then I can tell you these are nice for high dome luxeons - if they are offset from the emitter slightly, they focus to a nice tight spot. You can also put them directly against the emitter for a wider beam, albiet somewhat splotchy.

Space the NX-05 ~.075" above bottomed-out on a High dome/Lambertian LS, and you will get a very decent beam!
