I was at a friends house tonight and had my m@g85 in the car. the power went out for about 20 minutes. I had my arcAAA on my keychain and a 35mcd keychainlight as well.
...then I said hang on a sec. I went to my car and got my mag85 and SL TL3.
by this time my friend was out in the street talking with a couple of neighbors.
I turned on the [email protected] the cries of shock..."what the heck is that?"

It was almost as if i had an enormous ***** :D

I could make a comment about large size and short runtime, but then people would probably think it's because I'm packing a Dorcy AAA down there. Or a FireFli.

I wonder how they would have reacted to a Thor 15 million candlepower spotlight? :D

I had a similar situation in New Guinea with my MAG951 - try it in a less entertained country and see the reaction you get. I think if the lights came back on I'd be signing autographs...

I hadn't seen that film in ages and watched the extended version a couple nights ago. Man oh Man! Mel Brooks is da man - but how he got away was some of that is beyond me!

Hello Scaredofthedark,

9 2500 mAh cells in series will give you

9 * 1.2 volts = 10.8 volts,

but since they are in series you are still at 2500 mAh of capacity.

To figure run time, take the 2500 mAh and multiply it by 0.8. This allows for the drop in capacity at high current rates. So, now we have

2500 mAh X 0.8 = 2000 effective mAh

The Mag85 draws 3150 mA, so we divide capacity by draw and get

2000 mAh / 3150 mA = 0.635 hours or about 38 minutes.

Tom
