Eulogy set for 1998's Cat Of The Year (a dog)

A memorial service for Ginny, with attendance of about 300 cats, is planned for November 19. Ginny, 1998's "Cat" of the year, although a dog, is an honorary cat that passed on in August of this year. You'd have to say he was quite a dog, and quite an "honorary cat".

Sorry to hear of Ginny's passing. I've had some dogs that got along well with cats. I've also had some who would have been ashamed to get a cat of the year award! :grin2:

I love both cats and dogs though.

I remember reading about this dog when she passed away, back in August.\, but I didn't go to her website.

But yesterday I came across the link to Ginny's website. Quite a tribute to a very, very special dog, and her owner of 17 years.

The website is especially nice for cat lovers: lots of pictures of the rescued cats, and some real heart wrenching stories, too.

A unique dog, to be sure; receiving the honor she richly deserves. :bow:

Apparently Ginny was a very gifted and compassionate animal. It is nice to see her being remembered in this way.
