BOG 3W + 17670 in G2

I read somewhere that the BOG 3 watt drop in falls out of regulation around 4 volts. Since the 17670 is rated at a nominal 3.7 volts, what kind of performance can be expected with this setup? Is there a significant difference in brightness as opposed to running primaries?

I don't know the specifics of the circuitry, but in using one li-ion cell with the 3watt BOG, it did seem a little dimmer than when running it on 2 li-ions or 2 primaries. The setup should be fine though, and with the relatively flat output of the li-ion, it should stay pretty constant.

I currently run my BOG in a G2 on 2x protected RCR123 and a two stage tailcap. Its a great setup, brighter than on a 17670, but a bit less runtime (except in low mode).
