Pila 3.7 LA

I just got one of these and put it in my G2 with a Pila 168s battery. I must say I'm a bit let down. It seems about as bright at a P60, maybe a bit less, and has some noticeable beam artifacts.

Anyone else out there with this configuration care to comment? I checked the output of the battery before installation, and it read 4.0 volts on my multimeter.

Interesting; I've just ordered one. Can anyone compare the Pila 3.7V lamp assembly to the G&P (sold by Emilion for $10)? I think Pila claims 80 lumens, while G&P claims 70. How do they actually compare in lux? lumens? efficiency?
