"The Ministry of Defence has complained to Dorset police that some of its Apache gunships, which are being prepared at Middle Wallop base, Hampshire, for deployment to Iraq, were put at risk when the farmers shone torches at them on Monday night. The MoD abandoned the exercise."

I guess the pilots used NVG?

A decent light/spotlight will turn into the sun if you're using NVG's without the "cutoff function" (Don't know what the right term is, I've only handeled NVG that could be destroyed by direct light)

I dont recall where the story was posted, here or else where I visit, but think I read a story where someone spotlighted a police helecoptor and he ended up getting arrested.
