These are cheap generic lights. They won't be very bright.

Suggest you get the new style Xnova 8-LED AA from qualitychinagoods.com or lightoound.com if you want something small and bright with good tint; the Ghost II if you want something small with better battery life; the Dorcy 3D at Target or Walmart if you want something big with great battery life.

That's just a brief list based on the characteristics of the lights you linked. Check flashlightreviews.com. Or tell us what you want the lights for, and we'll give suggestions.

Not looking for any particular light, just saw these at such a low price thought they might be worth investigating, the say Inovage so thought they might be an inova knock off, but I had assumed as you sugested that they are probably just cheap dim lights not even worth the 10 bucks, also tried to post in the mod area to see if these might be something worth moding

8" and 10". Rather long don't you think. On the other hand people buy 6 cell mags.
With 3 cells the leds should not be underdriven. I estimate 6-9 lunens 20 hours for the "little" one and 12-18 lumens 70 hours for the big one.

If you want something more compact, try this:

I just paid $16.63 for 2 shipped. Note Emillion has only 3 left. It took him 3 months to replenish his stock last time he ran out. Brighter than all 6 of my lux 1 lights. 3AAA makes this too thick for pocket carry which you can do with the Xnova 8.
