Tom Lykuis the car guy said the tornado works. I couldnt say myself. Lots of those gizmos you see really do work for car performance, the two prong spark plugs, HID ignition, low resistance wires, free-er flowing filters, etc, but its only a few % gain that unless you have a large 16 cylinder engine, you wouldnt see or feel anything.

As for the led pain thing, I couldnt tell you. I know a few massagers Ive fools with on display have heat or IR built in, usually dimly lite, small bulbs that you can not feel any heat from. No idea if it works.

Those turbonator or whatever things you put in your air ducting going to your throttle body will only HURT performance by creating turbulance and restriction before the intake manifold. Modern engines have fuel injectors in the bottom of the lower intake manifold or right in the heads, and turbulant air won't reach all the way down there to mix the fuel/air better. It will be smoothed out by the time it gets there, and will just cause a restriction.

Now if you had an old carburated car, or throttle body injected, then perhaps it might help swirl the air/gas mixture as it went down the intake manifold.....

another good one is the magnet you put on your fuel line that is supposed to "align the molocules of the fuel for improved gas mileage" ...

Don't know about the blue LEDs but NASA was working with red and IR LEDs a while back for pain and healing. It seems to have something to it after reading a bit more on it.

I didn't think that was for pain, but for speeding healing. Unfortunately, as soon as you have some official or real company that is studying something, anybody can go and order up a bunch of any old IR leds into a piece of plastic and sell it claiming to be the same thing.

As far as the tornado thing, there is a long tradition of super carburetors and the like. I have a friend who spends a lot of money buying the plans for those and other such things off the internet. But the other vortex type thing that was available actually reduced your gas milage because it caused more restriction at the intake ;) I dont know about this one though.

A buddy of mine replaced his air intake with a trombone horn :D it looked hilarious under the hood of his ford escort and I dont believe he claimed any fuel savings for it, but it did work to replace the plastic piece that had fallen off :D

My guess for the IR pain reliever deal is that it generates heat, which is what causes any sort of relief of pain. Wouldn't expect the IR to have anything to do with it.
