Dorcy 1xAAA w/Tritium tailcap - With pics

Not wanting to damage my Best EDC, the Dorcy 1xAAA, I opted to mount the tritium vial supplied by Bart in the tailcap. I proceeded cautiously with a cutting disc mounted to my dremel and using SAFETY GLASSES, and slowly whittled away at the black plastic housing which makes up the tailcap-switch for this light. I damaged one black cap as the cutting disc made mince meat of the tailcap, but if you are very careful you can remove enough plastic to wedge the tritium vial so that it rests below the cap as viewed in some of the pics. I then used slow(90 minute) setting epoxy to dab a small portion to secure the vial to the cap and then covered the remaining part in a small pool of epoxy. Because the epoxy is slow setting it will allow you to shape it to conform with the original tailcap, and the end result is a flush finish that is smooth to the touch.
