I love clickys, can live with twistys, but I like clickys.

Can I take the tailcap from My U2 and use it on a L2 I have been thinking about buying?? :naughty:

Or is there a matching tailcap I can buy???

Thanks,

-PSM

PS: To newbies, I am referring to SureFire flashlights.

I don't know if there's a clicky available for the L2.

I know for sure that the U2 tailcap does not fit on the L2, as does neither tailcap for the E-series lights.

EDIT: I see that you have an A2. The L2 tailcap looks the same as the A2 one (internals might be different, but that's the size and thread).

If you could find a clickie to fit your L2, you would lose the two stage output. This seems to be the main feature of the L2 to me.

Other options, are the L4 or E2L, both with clickies. Yes, less overall output, but cheaper and much more compact.

Heck, get a U2 and have it all.

I think you'd turn your L2 into a really big L4 then.

More fun (maybe) to turn an L4 into a 2-stage light with a McGizmo switch. :)

L2 tailcap has same saze as A2 tailcap.
So U2 tailcap has too large diameter, does not fit to L2.

EDIT:
Oops. elgarak provided the same info. Sorry.
