Hello All
I need to buy a new pocket sized flashlight. I'm from Australia, so getting a SureFire has proven either tricky or hideously expensive, and is going to take a few weeks at least to ship from the 'States - but I want a new light now, dammit!

The only light that I've found that's close to suitable is an LED Lenser V2 3-AAA, like this one:
http://www.glowgadgets.co.uk/led-lenser.shtml#tac

However, I've had a bit of a look around these forums and found that water resistance has always been a problem for LED Lenser lights, and this is going to be a night-time jogging light for me. When I jog, I sweat - a lot. Water resistance is going to be an issue. Sad, and a little unpleasant, but true.

So, my question is, does anyone know if they've fixed the water resistance issues recently, and more specifically, for this model?

I can't say if that light is resistant. However, Look in the Lights B/S/T Sell section of the forum and you will find plenty of surefires at very reasonable prices. You can find a veritable plethora of lights at very reasonable costs with quick shipping as well. Good luck and welcome!

Hi J Conway :) ,

I am from USA not AUS. I suggest that you contact Fenix at the link that follows and ask if they ship to or have a dealer in AUS. Despite some recent reservations I have had about the recent change from metal to plastic reflector; I still consider the Fenix L1P to be the "Flashlight of the Year".

The site loads slowly......soooooooooo.....go have a Fosters and come back later...:lolsign:

Can you get Streamlight? The Streamlight Jr has a nice broad beam, good run time, uses common AA batteries, and is water resistant. About $29:

The Streamlight Tasklight 2L has two level output, about Minimag size, very powerful on high, about $70:

The Nuwai TM-301X-3 has two level output, smaller than a Minimag, very long runtime on low. About $42:

Thanks guys, I check out those links and see what I can come up with.

And no real Australian actually drinks Fosters, not more than once anyway. I'm pretty sure that Fosters is our longest running international prank - thirty years ago a couple of university students were half-cut drinking Coopers (which is real beer) homebrew, recycled into their empties and had a bet on whether or not they could convince the rest of the world to drink it. True story. The evidence is all there people, you just have to decode it. If you take 'Fosters', replace the 'F' with a 'C', the first 'S' with a 'T', the 'T' with a 'P', the 'O' with an 'A', the 'E' with an 'I', and the 'R' with an 'S', it's there in black and white.

Hello J Conway,

I stand corrected...

All this time I have been telling people that it tasted like crap.
