Going to ND this weekend.

Headed to McVille, ND this weekend to visit the wife's Grandparents. Grandma just had her 3'rd heart attack, this one very serious. She's back home resting and seems in good spirits but the doctors are basically saying "she's got however long she's got".


We're as worried about grandpa as anything. He's NOT taking all of this well.

Update for anyone interested. Grandma (age 89) has bounced back quite a bit and as long as she sleeps in a bit mornings and naps in the afternoon she seems pretty spry.

Grandpa (91) is doing fine (putting most 70 somethings to shame!) and seems to have the attitude that each remaining day with his wife is to be treasured.

Our visit to them seems to have really cheered everyone up so it was time very well spent. Grandpa loved the gift of the River Rock 2xAAA light and was showing it off to all of his friends who came over for dinner.

I miss them already, but sure don't miss the -20F weather we had the whole time!!!
